Very few police around the world have the opportunity to graduate from an internship with a sex worker agency, but that’s exactly what has been happening with the Thai Service Workers in Group (SWING) Foundation since 2005.
‘During the three-week placement at SWING, the programme expands the police cadets’ understanding and awareness of the lives of sex workers, with an expectation that the cadets will not only share their experiences with their peers, but will also actively challenge discriminatory attitudes they encounter.’
