LEAHN Co-ordinator in Myanmar to promote public health approaches to drug use

 

The LEAHN Coordinator Greg Denham traveled to the capital of Myanmar, Nay Pyi Taw on 19-20 June to speak at the UNAIDS convened seminar ‘Responding to Drug Use and HIV: Collaborating for a Public Health Approach in Myanmar’. The subject of Greg’s presentation was ‘The importance of law enforcement engagement with public health interventions’. Over 80 people attended the seminar, including senior law enforcement, local and international NGOs, UN agencies and the health and social sectors.
