LEAHN becomes member of UNODC-CSO Group on HIV and People who Use Drugs

LEAHN is excited at becoming a new member of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime – CSO Group on HIV and People who Use Drugs.

The UNODC-CSO Group on HIV and People who Use Drugs was formed in February 2013 as part of  invited engagement between global and regional civil society networks active in addressing HIV and drug use and UNODC  HIV AIDS Section (HAS). The role of the Group is to act as mechanism to enhance coordination and collaboration between Drugs CS and UNODC HAS.

LEAHN is looking forward to making a valuable contribution to this work, specifically towards improving police relations with civil society and supporting professional police practices aimed at reducing HIV risk amongst people who use drugs.
