About Mark Spawn:
A career law enforcement officer, Mark Spawn worked his way through the ranks in Fulton, New York, serving as the city’s Chief of Police for eleven years. He has been a consultant on projects including sex offender management, harm reduction, policy development, and has researched projects involving children of incarcerated parents, ignition interlock devices, child abuse, off-duty and plainclothes encounters, officer safety, and more. He is the Editor of publications for the New York State Association of Chiefs of Police and is the producer of audio and video productions including APB: All Points Bulletin and The Legacy Project. Spawn is the voice of the APB podcast series and has provided voice-over for the New York State Division of Homeland Security, a movie production, and an historical documentary film. He has appeared as a subject matter expert on Most Daring for law enforcement video clips. He is a New York State Fire Instructor and in 2008, was appointed by the Governor as a member of the State Arson Board.
Mark is a member of the New York State and International Associations of Chiefs of Police, and recipient of the Officer of the Month/Living Legends Program by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, Ten Outstanding New Yorkers, and an FBI commendation for his work with a Bank Robbery Task Force.
